ECUADOR CULTURE

Ecuador is a multiethnic and multicultural nation, Ecuadorian culture has its roots in the influences that different peoples have left after passing through its territory over the centuries. The ethnic and regional diversity of Ecuador should be considered to analyze its culture. Ethnically this is marked by the presence of mestizos, indigenous people, Afro-Ecuadorians, and Whites; as well as regions such as the coast, the mountains, the east and the insular region, all of these with very rich specificities. Although there is a common cultural heritage to all.

FLORA

Its biological richness is reflected in its variety of organisms: 10% of the world's vascular plant species are located in an area that comprises only 2% of the earth's surface.

Its diverse ecosystems have interacted throughout geological history in a diversity of habitats.

Ecuador has 25,000 species of vascular plants, of these only 2,725 have been cataloged and studied, which represents 11% of the world total and 30% of the orchid species in Latin America.
